I don’t care for the debate of what is, or who are true Doms.
I think we judge one another too harshly, even in a kink world where our very differentness is what has brought us together. One thing I will offer to the conversation is that simply being a top does not mean you are a good dominant for any given submissive. Knowing how to cook, or even being passionate about it, doesn’t mean you can run your own restaurant. The ability to make babies, or a love of working with children, doesn’t mean we know how to be great parents. There is too much more to the equation.
Some of us have dominant tendencies or personalities, but what I practice is dominance as a skill. The former speaks to a person’s nature but the latter comes with time, effort, insight, and experience.
I like working with strong partners who feel the beauty of submission or those who seek it. Artists, intellects, and geeks of all passions engage me. We are not broken, we are explorers, scientists, and revolutionaries. We are pioneers We are foot soldiers facing the undefined expanse of our inner selves.
